Thank you for supporting Spring Branch Education Foundation’s 7th annual Style Show and Luncheon.

In response to Hurricane Harvey’s effect on the area, SBEF has cancelled the Style Show, scheduled for Friday, September 15.  Event co-chairs Michelle Majewski and Suzanne Stiles, along with the SBEF staff and board, strongly feel that while the proceeds of the Style Show are essential for funding grants and scholarships, we should focus our energy elsewhere right now.

OUR MISSION
Spring Branch Education Foundation is committed to supporting our students and educators. We partner with Spring Branch ISD and the community to fund programs that enhance education and prepare our students for the future.

OUR CHALLENGE
Our local taxpayers pay additional taxes attributable to increases in property valuations. However, the additional tax dollars do not remain in Spring Branch Independent School District under the current State of Texas education funding formula. Unfortunately, the formula was recently confirmed as constitutional by the Texas Supreme Court. See www.springbranchisd.com for important additional information about the severe funding problem facing our school district.

OUR SOLUTION
Private funding, through the Foundation, remains 100 percent in the district and helps enhance quality of education. SBEF raises funds only for SBISD. Last year, the Foundation donated more than $1 million to the district, reaching students on every campus through grants and scholarships.

Thank you for participating in SBEF’s Making Our Schools!
